Alviksskolan
Alviksskolan is a school with students from the age of 6 to 16 in Stockholm. It is a primary and secondary school. The nearby school, Ulvsundaskolan, is affiliated to Alviksskolan. There are 980 students. Parts of the school have been adapted for students with hearing impairment. There are classes for students who have recently arrived to Sweden. Alviksskolan is a large school but is often perceived as small. The respect for each student in a unit, is very important. Our teachers take responsibility for creating the best environment for learning. Our students learn how take responsibility. for their own competence development. They get tools to evaluate and reflect on their performance. The school has 200 employees. The leadership team includes a principal, six assistant principals and two administration managers. Our school is also a teacher training college with students from Stockholm University. The vision for our school is that our students are well prepared for a lifelong learning. Our common core value is the foundation for how our students interact between themselves and society. In the Activity Plan for our school we have an International Strategy.
