On Monday, October 17th, the Learning and Teaching Activity kicked off with a warm welcome and introductions. Representatives from each participating country and institution presented themselves and their educational programs. Following the introductions, the group delved into the first workshop, E-Moderation. The workshop covered a range of topics, including effective communication strategies, fostering inclusive online learning environments, and identifying and addressing potential issues that may arise in digital spaces.
The E-Assessment workshop, provided participants with the tools and knowledge to design and implement effective online assessments. The session examined various assessment methods, including formative and summative assessments, and explored techniques for ensuring clear and equitable assessment practices in digital environments. In the afternoon, the group embarked on a captivating walking tour of Vienna's city center, immersing themselves in the rich history and culture of the Austrian capital.
The E-Tools workshop, explored a variety of digital tools that can enhance the learning experience. Participants gained insights into the use of online platforms, collaborative tools, and educational resources to support effective teaching and learning in the digital age.
During this LTA, there was also time to embark on a visit to the magnificent Schönbrunn Palace and Zoo, marveling at the grandeur of the imperial residence and the captivating animal inhabitants. The Schönbrunn Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stands as a testament to the Habsburg Empire's architectural prowess and cultural influence. The adjacent zoo, renowned for its rich array of exotic animals, provided a unique opportunity for participants to engage with the natural world and foster a deeper appreciation for biodiversity.
